Willow Class

Welcome to Willow Class

Classteacher: Miss J. Dandy/Mrs. L. Dhanak

Welcome to Willow!

...and here we are looking our best!

PLEASE ENSURE THAT CHILDREN BRING A WATER BOTTLE TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY.  THANK YOU.

PE lessons are on a Wednesday so please ensure that earrings are removed and all PE kits are in school on these days.

Thank you!

This week, the children have been visited by the Queen of the Bog Babies!  Lady Clara has told us that a tiny, blue Bog Baby has escaped in our classroom.  We have been dipping back into the story to find out what might tempt our Bog Baby out of its hiding place and are going to design our own traps.  We have also been learning some very interesting vocabulary this week!  I wonder if your children have said any of the following words at home (and, more importantly, known what they mean)?

tempting, greedy, curious, crotchety, morsel

We have been applying these words by exploring character and setting in a book we are finding EXTREMELY hilarious...I have linked a 'read aloud' version *here* if you would like to share it at home!

Phase 3 sounds taught in Reception Spring 1

Please find Tricky Words below to practise reading at home. Feel free to print them and cut out as flashcards, see if they can read them on screen, or work together to spot them in books. These words are called Tricky Words because (at the moment), we can't sound them out - we just have to learn to read them.
