School Uniform

What should my child wear to school?

We ask parents to support the wearing of our school uniform, as we believe it fosters a sense of belonging and pride in our school. Our school colour is gold and our uniform consists of:

  • gold school sweatshirt/cardigan with school logo (available to order via www.yourschoolwear.co.uk).

  • white shirt OR white polo shirt.

  • charcoal grey tailored trousers or charcoal grey skirt or pinafore. (Girls may wear smart grey, tailored trousers, but not ‘fashion’ style trousers).

  • sensible, black shoes - we do not consider trainers or shoes with high heels/platforms to be acceptable for school.

  • in the Summer, girls may wear a yellow checked or striped dress, with tailored grey shorts being an option for boys. A suitable hat to provide shade is also strongly encouraged.

  • PE Kit consists of a Myland white PE t-shirt; plain black shorts; black plimsolls; plain black tracksuit for cold weather (optional). Items of PE Kit may be purchased via www.yourschoolwear.co.uk.

We do not allow children to wear jewellery. Children with pierced ears may wear small, plain stud earrings, which must be removed by the child for all PE sessions. Children (boys and girls) with long hair must also have it tied back at all times whilst at school.

Children are also not permitted to wear make up (including nail varnish) and we strongly discourage any ‘extreme’ hairstyles.
