Birch Class

Welcome to Birch Class

Classteacher:  Mrs. H. Love

This week, the children are using what they know about numbers and their properties to think a little deeper about problems.  They have used cuisenaire rods to discuss and identify 'more than', 'fewer than' and 'the same' as certain numbers.  There are virtual rods here if you would like to have a go with your child at home.

The children are still enjoying the outdoor area in this weather; we are avoiding the hottest parts of the day.  Please ensure that you apply suncream to your child before school and that they have a water bottle and a named sunhat, please.

Here are some pictures of our school trip.

There are lots more in our floor book for you to enjoy!

We hope you all have a FANTASTIC Easter break!

This week, we have been exploring shape and pattern in our COOL Time.  There are two pattern challenges linked below, if you would like a go at home!  The children have also been writing independently; they have created their own books (story books, information books and even decodables!) and these are in the classroom for the children to enjoy, as well as their families if families are able to visit the classroom during the 'At Home' sessions on Mondays.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD'S 'LEARN WITH ME' BOOK IS IN THEIR BAG EVERYDAY SO WE CAN ADD TO IT.

The children have enjoyed sharing their books with us and have added any work in that they have completed with you at home.

We are working on getting our muscles ready to write! Grab some playdough (or something squishy!) and have fun dancing to this 'dough disco'!
