    Meet our Governing Body

     

    Kathryn Gilbert - Chair of Governors (Parent Governor)

    I am delighted to serve as Chair of Governors and Parent Governor at Myland Primary School. As the parent of a child at the school, I am passionate about ensuring that every pupil has access to the high-quality education, opportunities and support that enable them to thrive.

    With more than 20 years' experience in primary education, including over 15 years in senior leadership as a Deputy Headteacher, I have a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges schools face. This experience allows me to support and challenge school leaders effectively, helping to ensure that the school continues to provide the very best outcomes for its pupils.

    I firmly believe that strong partnerships between school, families and the wider community are central to a child's success. Both as an educator and as a parent, I value the positive relationships that make Myland Primary School such a welcoming and successful place to learn.

    As Chair of Governors, I am committed to working collaboratively with governors, school leaders, staff, pupils and families to build on the school's many strengths and support its continued development. It is a privilege to play a part in helping Myland Primary School provide an inspiring and nurturing environment where every child can achieve their full potential.

     

     

    Stewart Roberts - Co-opted Governor

    It is a privilege to have joined the Governing Body of Myland School in 2019 as a parent governor and now as a co-opted governor. I have two daughters both at Myland School, the eldest being in Year 4 and the youngest in Year 1.

    I will be looking to use skills and values obtained from my profession to support the school in its aims and objectives to provide the best education and keep our children safe. I have worked in Technology Project Management for over 10 years, so have sound experience in working as part of a team to solve problems and I understand the importance of listening to, and managing key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

    Raising young children in the Myland area gives me a vested interest in ensuring the school works well for my family and provides me with a genuine interest in ensuring the same for others too.
