Welcome to all of our new Reception families (September 2025 start date)

We were so excited to meet lots of you at the first drop in session this week!  It was wonderful to meet you all and to give your children their Golden Tickets!  We look forward to welcoming you all back (or meeting those of you who were unable to attend this week's) on:

Monday 9th/Monday 16th June 3.30-4 p.m.

These are our regular At Home evenings, so it is a lovely chance to come in and feel part of our school community.  You will need to stay with your child for these sessions.  Please do feel free to bring the family along to these sessions; they are very informal and intended to help you and your child familiarise yourselves with the school, classrooms and team.  Please do not feel any pressure to attend all three if this is difficult to manage.  Your child will also receive their 'Golden Ticket' during these sessions, letting you know whether they will be in Birch or Willow class; you will then be able to sign up for 1-1 meetings with the relevant classteacher.

These meetings will happen on:

Monday 7th/Tuesday 8th July.  Again, feel free to bring the children if you would like to.

The children will be in for an initial school visit on Wednesday 9th July.  You are not required to stay with them for these sessions and they can bring a fruit or vegetable snack and a named water bottle.  Birch class will visit from 9.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and Willow class from 12.30 - 2.30 p.m.

Their longer 'full day' visit is on Thursday 10th July, from 9.30 a.m. until 2 p.m. - I will make sure I pop any further information about this day on this page, closer to the time.

 The whole school community are so excited to meet you all!  

You will shortly be receiving an email with an acceptance form attached; please do return this as soon as you can so that we can begin chatting with nursery/preschool settings.  The deadline for returning this acceptance form is Monday 12th May, so if you still haven't received it closer to that date, then please do contact the school office.

Once we have received your acceptance form, we will send out further details about transition dates and chances for your child (and families!) to get to know their new school.  The first date you need to know is for the parents' meeting on Tuesday 20th May at 7 p.m. - please note that this initial event is aimed at parents and carers only.  

Should you be unable to attend some/any of the transition dates, please don't panic; the information we give will be available to everyone!
